About

Now Located in the West Los Angeles Municipal Building

Latino Resource Organization, Inc. (LRO), incorporated in 1983, has been providing a variety of social services to communities in the Greater West Los Angeles areas. Our mission is to provide a milieu of safety-net services that offer support to socioeconomically disadvantaged families. We strive towards strengthening youth and families, and progressively mobilizing the quality of life for the community. Programs include services such as case management, seniors support groups, comprehensive immigration and naturalization, transportation, financial education, and academic and youth development. Through 2012-2013, LRO became the lead agency and operator of the West Los Angeles FamilySource Center (WLAFSC). LRO contracts with the City of Los Angeles Housing and Community Investment Department to operate the WLAFSC. Every summer LRO/WLAFSC offers a Summer Camp/Youth Empowerment Program to support students' academic and social-emotional development to prepare them for the following school year and to be active members in their communities.
