Latino Resource Organization- COVID-19 Update

The safety and health of our youth and staff is always our highest priority.

As a community serving organization, we are learning to accept that we do not know with certainty what tomorrow holds, we also know that many of our families are feeling less sure about sending their youth to our afterschool program. However, we remain optimistic and will implement proactive policies and procedures in order to follow the guidelines put forth by the CDC and the local county health authority. This will surely include meeting and staying in small self-contained groups throughout the week, limited foot traffic, daily monitoring of symptoms & temperature checking, face masks, hand washing, sanitizing the facility, reporting of any symptomatic participants to county health officials.

Understandably even when we open our doors, some of our families will not be able to join us. Should your family be required to stay Safe at Home, youth are still welcomed to take-part in our class video conferencing sessions conducted via Zoom.

Thank you for patiently hanging in with us as we await news from our local public health authorities. We are so grateful for the support so many of you have shown to help us continue our mission. We want you to know that we are here for you during this difficult time.

If you have any questions send us an email at youth@latinoresource.org or call (424) 293-8297.
